Pinon Pointe is a relatively new subdivision in Ventana Ranch. The homes in the neighborhood were built by Sivage Thomas and Pulte Homes from approximately 2002-2005.

School children in Pinon Pointe go to Ventana Ranch Elementary school, Tony Hillerman Middle School and Volcano Vista High Schools. Tony Hillerman and Volcano Vista are newer schools; Hillerman opened in 2009 and Volcano Vista opened in 2007. Ventana Ranch Elementary opened in 2004. Pinon Pointe park is located at the entrance to the subdivision. It’s a large park with a big playing field, playground equipment for small children and there’s a covered picnic area for adults to sit under while the kids play. More information and more pictures of Pinon Pointe Park.
Pinon Pointe subdivision is located in the northwestern part of Ventana Ranch near Rainbow and Irving. It’s very easy to pop on to Paseo del Norte which is a limited access road for an easy commute across town. Unser Blvd, which is the main traffic artery to Rio Rancho and south to Interstate 40, is located nearby. There's also easy access to Double Eagle Airport and Interstate 40 west on Paseo del Norte and Paseo del Volcan.
