Briar Ridge Subdivision at Ventana Ranch is a small, relatively new subdivision in Northwest Albuquerque. The homes in the neighborhood were built by KB Homes from approximately 1999-2003.

School children in Briar Ridge go to Ventana Ranch Elementary school, Tony Hillerman Middle School and Volcano Vista High Schools. Tony Hillerman and Volcano Vista are newer schools; Hillerman opened in 2009 and Volcano Vista opened in 2007. Ventana Ranch Elementary opened in 2004. There is also a new elementary school in the neighborhood, Tierra Antigua, so be careful to check with APS to determine where your child might go. More information on Ventana Ranch Schools.
Briar Ridge park is located in the subdivision and is a large park with a large grassy field, a playground for toddlers and small children and a covered picnic area. More information and more pictures of Briar Ridge Park.

Briar Ridge subdivision is located in the southwestern part of Ventana Ranch near Rainbow and Paseo del Norte for an easy commute across town. Unser Blvd is the main traffic artery to Rio Rancho and south to Interstate 40. There's also easy access to Double Eagle Airport and Interstate 40 west on Paseo del Norte and Paseo del Volcan.
There hasn't been much activity in the real estate market in 2009 in Briar Ridge. The neighborhood is small and there has been only one closed sale this year.
