District 5 Spring Meeting March 23

There will be a meeting for residents of Albuquerque's City Council District 5 on March 23, 2010.

"Please join City Councilor Dan Lewis, Mayor R.J. Berry and city staff at a meeting for the West Side, District 5. We will discuss current initiatives from the city regarding public safety and other west side priorities. There will also be updates from West Wide elected officials regarding the legislative Session 2010."

The meeting will start at 7pm and we be held at the Don Newton Taylor Ranch Community Center.

In the past these meetings have been very informative. Attending is a great way to stay in touch with what's happening on Albuquerque's west side. Please join other members of the Piedras Marcadas Neighborhood Association at this event!

Corrales NM HorsesCorrales NM is a unique place. The sleepy Village of Corrales is nestled between Albuquerque (to the south), Rio Rancho (to the north and west) and the Sandia Pueblo to the east. The population of Corrales is about 7500 people.

When you drive into Corrales you know immediately that you have crossed into a different kind of place.

The first thing you notice is that it's really green. That's because it's on the banks of the Rio Grande. You'll see horses, cattle and sheep as you drive through town, plus you'll see apple orchards and grape vineyards too.

Corrales is an Historical place. Prehistoric sites indicate the Corrales valley had inhabitants as early as 500 AD. Besides Old San Ysidro church, today there are shops and restaurants in town, including some very fine places to eat.

Homes for sale in Corrales NM currently range in price from $114,000-$498,000. There are 105 homes currently on the market.

In 2009 there were 77 Corrales home sales. The average house was 2,786 square feet, the average sales price was $440,986 with an average market time of 188 days.

Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort and Spa (5 minutes from Alegria)

Tamaya is located on the Pueblo of Santa Ana, just driving the winding road to the facility is an experience, but it gets even better once you're there! There's and 18 hole golf course with GPS-equipped golf carts, excellent dining, horse stables with trail rides, and Tamaya Mist spa and salon.

Santa Ana Star Casino (5 minutes from Alegria)
