The city of Albuquerque is divided into four quarters by two Interstate Highways that intersect approximately in the middle of town, I25 and I40. The post office labels the quadrants NE, NW, SW and SE.
NE Albuquerque Real Estate
NE Albuquerque is the most popular section of town for residential real estate. The northeast part of town includes these neighborhoods: Albuquerque Acres, High Desert, Sandia Heights, Uptown and the Northeast Heights.
The most popular school districts in Albuquerque are located in the Northeast including La Cueva High School, Sandia High School and Eldorado High School, as well as the prestigous Albuquerque Academy. Click here for the Albuquerque Public Schools Website.
There is a wide variation in home prices throughout NE Albuquerque from the mid 100's and up.
NW Albuquerque Real Estate
NW Albuquerque is a growing part of town with more affordable homes than the Northeast Heights. Neighborhoods in Northwest Albuquerque include Ventana Ranch, Paradise Hills, Taylor Ranch and Ladera Heights. Click here for Ventana Ranch Homes for Sale.
There are several newer schools in Northwest Albuquerque, especially in Ventana Ranch. Volcano Vista High School is a popular new high school.
Homes start in the 150's and are priced into the 300's.
NW Albuqeruqe also includes Los Ranchos de Albuquerque, the North Valley and Alameda.
SW Albuquerque Real Estate
Some of the most affordable neighborhoods in Albuquerque are located in Southwest Albuquerque.
Building in this part of town was very active in the early 2000's. Only now is commercial construction beginning to catch up with the growth and bring jobs and shopping to this part of town.
You can find newer homes for sale starting in the low 100's in this part of town. Popular builders here inlcude KB Homes, Longford Homes and Centex Homes.
SW Albuquerque also includes the South Valley.
SE Albuquerque Real Estate
There are a wide variety of neighborhoods in southeast Albuquerque including the urban upscale Nob Hill, the ever popular UNM area, a beautiful established neighborhood called Ridgecrest and Four Hills to name a few.
This part if town is more hit-and-miss than other parts of town and inexperienced Realtors sometimes overlook some of the most popular neighborhoods in town here.
Prices range greatly with values in Nob Hill being the priciest.
